My name is Amanda Chahine, I am a Lebanese American feminist and activist in Dearborn, Michigan. I am a cofounder of the grassroots Arab/Muslim feminist organization called the Z Collective, one of the first of its kind to originate from Dearborn. I am currently completing my Masters in Public Health at Emory University, with specialties in global health and sexual minority health. Following completion of my Masters degree, I plan to receive my MD, specializing in obstetrics, gynecology, and abortion/post-abortion care. I believe that existence is resistance; whether it be to break the cycle of abuse, destigmatize sexual health, deconstruct gender binaries, cope with intersectional identities, or reclaim and redefine feminism. So just exist!
