Dr Baz received his M.D. from the Faculty of Medicine at the Lebanese University in 2001 and completed his residency training at the American University of Beirut Medical Center [AUB-MC]. From 2005 to 2008, before moving to Canada, he was the clinical research coordinator at the Children’s Heart Center at the AUB-MC.
His first medical experience and voluntary involvement came in spreading medical awareness through “AIDS action” – an organization that worked mainly on spreading HIV-AIDS awareness in various communities in Beirut. Lastly, while at the American University of Beirut Medical Center, Dr Baz was elected for 2 years on the board of the Resident Staff Organization.
Upon arrival in Canada in 2009, until 2012, Dr. Baz worked as a pediatrician at the Edmundston Regional Hospital with the Vitalite Health Network in New Brunswick. Also, during that period, he was a clinical professor at the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Sherbrooke. He was also a member of the medical board at the Edmundston Regional Hospital and a member of the Quality Control Committee in Pediatrics at Reseau Vitalite.
He is currently a pediatrician at the Centre Hospitalier Régional De Lanaudière in Quebec.
Dr. Baz served as an Executive Board Member from Sept. 4th 2012 to Nov. 29th 2015.
